One-eye, one-leg sunbathing dunlin
Sunbathing juvenile dunlin standing on one leg with head tucked in mantle and one eye open. Captured along the Grand Canal in the Réserve Les Grangettes, Switzerland. After observing preening and sunbathing dunlins for about 1 hour, I was able to take this image at fairly close range (about 5 meters).
