Black heron canopy feeding
Black heron stretching its wings to form an umbrella in order to cast a shadow over the water to attract fish. This technique also allows the heron to clearly see fish past the surface of the water and serves as a camouflage to trick preys that only see a dark mass. Captured near Little Vumbura in the Kwedi concession, Okavango Delta, Botswana.
