Little bee-eater with moth catch
Little bee-eater (Merops pusillus) pair perched on dried twig, each looking in the opposite direction. The bee-eater with the catch in its bill is crunching on its prey so swiftly that the air is still filled with moth fragments. The bee-eater in the opposite direction is unevenly lit by dappled light, which gives its plumage a waxy, glittery feel.
