Vervet monkey maternal care
Vervet monkey mother (Chlorocebus pygerythrus) delicately poised in standing position on downward branch of Lantana bush while feeding on berries, with infant in ventral grip. Lantana plants have medicinal uses and are also said to have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. Captured at Kilimanjaro Golf and Wildlife Estate, Tanzania.
