Tail feather preening
Pied kingfisher (Ceryle rudis) perched on broken twig of acacia tree while preening its tail feathers. The oval shape formed by the kingfisher stands out distinctively from the pointed, sharp and thorny twigs. Captured in the Kwedi concession, Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana.
