Dideric Cuckoo with caterpillar catch
Male Dideric cuckoo ((Chrysococcyx caprius) perched sideways on broken branch with a caterpillar in its bill. Males have glossy green upperparts and head, with a copper sheen on their back. The soft and fluffy tarsal feathers of this cuckoo are recalled in the white bristles of the caterpillar. Captured in Eastern Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.
