Popping into the frame
Female Violet-backed Starling (Cinnyricinclus leucogaster) hanging off a branch of Rhus natalensis shrub laden with berries. Slight foliage blur around the bird gives the impression the starling is popping into the frame. Violet-backed Starlings forage primarily in trees. Unlike many other starlings, they spend little time on the ground. Captured in North Serengeti National Park, Wogakuria Hills, Tanzania.
