Hamerkop takeoff downstroke in mirrored reflection
Hamerkop (Scopus umbretta) giving power stroke to take off from a pool of water formed by the receding floodwaters in Okavango Delta. A small stream of water droplets repelled by the outstreched wings seems to connect with the wader's mirrored reflection. Captured in the Jao Flats in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.
