Seed husker covered with strings of grass seeds
Perched Yellow-fronted Canary (Crithagra mozambica) deftly picking seeds from strings of grass seeds and winkling them out from their tight husks. Seed-eating birds that do not swallow seeds whole but extract seeds from their outer casing are known as huskers. Captured in North Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.
