Reichenow's Helmeted Guineafowl perched on tree bough

Reichenow's Helmeted Guineafowl (Numida meleagris reichenowi) with its conspicuously tall orange-brown casque, a turquoise facial and neck skin, a red wattle and a black dewlap. Guineafowls roost in trees for protection at night. The Reichenow’s Guineafowl is subspecies of the helmeted guineafowl which is prevalent in Kenya and Central Tanzania. Captured at the Kiligolf estate, near Usa river, Tanzania.
