Perched Pearl-spotted Owlet staring down
Perched Pearl-spotted Owlet (Glaucidium perlatum) staring down. I approached the bird slowly in incremental steps making sure I remained in its comfort zone. The bird stared at me most of the time until it spotted something moving in the bushes below its perch. The bird looks as if it is bowing. Captured on the outskirts of the Lemala Nanyukie Lodge in Eastern Serengeti, Tanzania.
